For a sleek design, the modern lighting system is fully integrated – as is the life-saving technology. This helmet, made from high-quality materials, combines safety and style in a perfect combination and is also scratch-resistant, dustproof, and waterproof.
Safety first.
Integrated lights
The first hurdle to overcome when it comes to safety: visibility. The Stromer Smart Helmet features three fully design-integrated light elements that are visible at eye level instead of handlebar height.
Each has a specific function aimed at visibility and/or communication with the rider. The result: a helmet that makes the rider more visible and predictable on the road.
Safety during.
Impact protection
Should an accident occur, the Stromer Smart Helmet is prepared. A helmet is still a helmet, and it must do one thing above all else: protect the head.
The Stromer Smart Helmet has been developed and extensively tested according to the highest safety standards (Watch test).
It features an ABS hard shell and an EPS liner to absorb impacts and protect the rider's head. The helmet is fully CPSC and EN 1078 certified, the two most important international safety certifications.
The Mips safety system is integrated into the Stromer Smart Helmet: an innovative system that uses a low-friction lining capable of performing small movements within the shell and additionally absorbing energy in the event of rotational impacts.
Safety afterwards.
Fall detection
Even after an accident, the Stromer Smart Helmet can still help the rider.
Equipped with accelerometers, the Smart Helmet can detect a severe fall. If the rider does not respond, the helmet sends an SOS message to a pre-defined contact person, which also includes the rider's location.
The Stromer Smart Helmet can trigger an emergency call when you can't.
Mips.
Mips stands for Multi-Directional Impact Protection System and is a low-friction layer located between the rider's head and the inside of the helmet, allowing a sliding movement of 10 to 15 mm in all directions. The fit is in no way affected by this.
What is the purpose of Mips?
The helmet can rotate slightly in the event of a rotational impact, which absorbs additional energy and better protects your head.
Hidden Light.
The icing on the cake.
How do you put lights on a helmet without ruining it? You hide them. The design team has worked out a solution that extends the light area of the helmet without destroying the minimalist look: we have developed a unique fabric that is water, dust and UV resistant, but lets light through.
The result is a light with a unique, fascinating effect that is only visible when switched on. The "Hidden Light" is also fully programmable and supports individual animations and colour changes.
Waterproof.
Whether rain or shine, the Smart Helmet can handle anything.
Thanks to the IPX6 waterproof rating, the electronics are fully sealed.
The fabric inner lining is also equipped with a water-repellent coating so that it does not get wet.
Magnetic fastener.
Close the helmet clasp in a very special way.
The Stromer Smart Helmet by Unit1 features a FIDLOCK magnetic fastener that allows one-handed operation and makes putting on and taking off the helmet child's play.
The buckle itself is stronger than conventional buckles and can withstand a force of up to 65 kg.
Ventilation.
Optimal ventilation and a minimalist look.
To maintain the helmet's minimalist appearance, a ventilation system had to be developed that doesn't require a dozen vents.
The ventilation system has two hidden air intakes (directly above the eyes), two large vents on the top, and a large vent on the back. This creates an internal airflow from front to back as the rider moves forward, drawing in cool air and expelling warm air.
How to connect your Smart Helmet to your Stromer.
- Switch on both your Stromer Bike and your helmet
- On your Stromer Bike, go to Menu > Bluetooth > Helmet
- Switch the service to ON
- Go to Devices and select Search under Available Devices
- Select the Stromer Smart Helmet
- The helmet will then be listed under Paired Devices
Delivery Time & Shipping Partner
All items in stock are usually prepared for shipment within 1–2 business days and dispatched with DHL. After shipment, you will receive a tracking number that allows you to track your delivery at any time.
For pre-ordered spare parts, you will receive a delivery date after purchase. This usually takes 7-10 business days.
Information for Customers from Switzerland
For orders to Switzerland, we cooperate with MeinEinkauf to ensure smooth customs clearance and delivery.
You will receive two tracking numbers:
- A DHL tracking number for shipping within Germany
- A MeinEinkauf tracking number for delivery in Switzerland
The purchase price in the shop is already adjusted to the Swiss VAT.
VAT & Customs for Swiss Customers
Spare Parts: For spare parts, there is no possibility of VAT exemption by German customs – Swiss tax will be levied accordingly.
Bikes/Bicycles: For bikes, VAT exemption can be claimed under certain conditions. The prerequisite for this is that the customer organizes the shipping within Switzerland themselves.
