My Stromer isn't updating via the OMNI BT App. What can I do?

Stromer ST1 models (produced from 2019 to 2021) are equipped as standard with an OMNI B that does not contain a SIM card. If the update cannot be done via mobile phone, it must be done manually.

Stromer Bikes with OTA (Over the Air) function automatically receive the latest software update from Stromer. In this case, no action is required.

What is needed for the update?

You need a PC, a USB stick, and if your Stromer doesn't have a USB drive directly on the bike, an adapter (Micro-USB to USB-A).

How does the process work?

Please purchase the software update through our shop. You will receive a download link with all updates and instructions in German and English.

Why do I have to pay for the free update?

The update itself is free – the fee we charge covers the provision and service effort.
You have two options to receive the update:

  • At the dealer: Contact your dealer; they can install the update during the next inspection or workshop visit (prices can be inquired at the dealer)

  • Directly from us: If you wish to obtain the update directly from us, a service fee will be charged for technical provision and processing.

I have problems installing the update: What can I do?

Please send us your frame number (battery compartment or in the app) and proof that you are the owner of the Stromer (invoice, purchase agreement) via email (info@stromer-bike.de)

Our technician will contact you by phone and go through the necessary steps with you.

Delivery Time & Shipping Partner

All items in stock are usually prepared for shipment within 1–2 business days and dispatched with DHL. After shipment, you will receive a tracking number that allows you to track your delivery at any time.

For pre-ordered spare parts, you will receive a delivery date after purchase. This usually takes 7-10 business days.

Information for Customers from Switzerland

For orders to Switzerland, we cooperate with MeinEinkauf to ensure smooth customs clearance and delivery.

You will receive two tracking numbers:

  • A DHL tracking number for shipping within Germany
  • A MeinEinkauf tracking number for delivery in Switzerland

The purchase price in the shop is already adjusted to the Swiss VAT.

VAT & Customs for Swiss Customers

Spare Parts: For spare parts, there is no possibility of VAT exemption by German customs – Swiss tax will be levied accordingly.

Bikes/Bicycles: For bikes, VAT exemption can be claimed under certain conditions. The prerequisite for this is that the customer organizes the shipping within Switzerland themselves.
